Types of Visas to Thailand
Under current rules, citizens from 55 countries can stay in the Kingdom of Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa (stamped). At the end of this period it is necessary to obtain a visa, we will describe only the frequently used ones:

Tourist Visa TR
The expiration date is: 3 months for single entry visa (2+1, third month renewable within the Kingdom of Thailand, for a fee of 1900 Baht);⠀6 months, for multiple entry visa. ⠀
The number of entries to the country on a 30-day stamp is granted no more than twice a calendar year at entry through the land or sea border, but without restrictions on entry by air. However, you should know that the decision to extend the stay is at the sole discretion of the immigration officer
Study Visa NON-ED
The visa validity period is 3 months or 1 year.
When entering a general education school, all documents for the student are prepared by the school. ⠀
When entering a language school, the school also prepares visa documents for studying a foreign language. It is important to know: immigration officers check the schools for attendance. If you are absent from class, or often travel outside the country, your visa may be cancelled
Dependant Visa NON-O
The family members of an alien who is currently working or studying in Thailand.
The validity period of the visa is 3 months or 1 year.
For example: the father of a child of a schoolboy applies for a Guardian Non-O visa. At the time of application for the annual visa, he must show a bank statement with an account statement, where within 90 days there was a minimum balance of at least 500 thousand Baht.
For example: the employee’s wife forms a Dependent Non-O visa for herself. She has to show a bank statement with an account statement and at least 400 thousand Baht a money balance at the time of visa application
Pension Visa Non-OA
For citizens over 50 years old. The visa validity period is 3 months or 1 year.
To get the visa, the applicant should show the account statement from the bank, where during 2 months (before the application for the annual visa) there was a minimum balance of at least 800 thousand Baht on the account and/or show an independent source of income from 65 thousand Baht per month
Business Visa Non-B
issued for: work; business
The visa validity period is 3 months and 1 year.
Once you have entered the Kingdom, you are requested to apply for a work permit from the Department of Employment in the Ministry of Labour. A 1 year visa is issued on the basis of a work permit and a full set of documents from the company.
Only this type of visa from the above allows the visa holder to work in Thailand
Important information:
If you need to leave Thailand temporarily and your Visa is Single, be sure to leave before you leave:
– for a single entry permit, put a Single Re-Entry Permit stamp in your passport (fee of 1,900 Baht).
– for multiple entry permits – Multiple Re-Entry Permit (fee of 3,800 Baht).
Otherwise, your visa will be cancelled as soon as you leave the Kingdom of Thailand.
For Multiple Visa, you do not need a re-entry permit stamp.
When applying for re-entry permit, you will need to submit the following:
Completed TM-8 form
1 Color photo (4 cm x 6 cm)
Photocopy of passport (home page and last entry stamp)
Payment of fees
To pass passport control, it is necessary to have: cash, not less than 20 thousand Baht (or the equivalent in other currency) per person; return air ticket; document confirming the place of your residence. All the above are not asked regularly, but the passport control officer always reserves the right to request additional documents.
Also, a passport valid for at least 6 months after the departure date (for pension visa for at least 18 months). It is recommended that your valid passport should contain at least 2 unused pages for all required entry and exit stamps that may be issued.
